Here we have compiled everything you need to know about our wedding including travel information and an accomodation guide. The information will be updated continuously, so please check back here as the wedding approaches for more up-to-date information. 

We have decided not to have a traditional toastmaster - if you have any questions you are welcome to contact us! You can find our contact details at the bottom of the page.

Nygård's herrgård

We are getting married at Nygård's herrgård, which is located on the beautiful island Gotland. If you are traveling from abroad, please see our detailed travel information below.

Nygård's herrgård is located approximately 5 km south of central Visby. 

We recommend taking a car or a taxi to the wedding. There are plenty of parking spaces at the venue. To book a taxi, we recommend Taxi Gotland, which you can reach on phone number +46 498-200 200.

We will be spending time in the garden and inside the barn on two floors connected by stairs. There is no elevator. There are two bathrooms located by the entrance on the bottom floor.

For International Guests - Getting to Gotland

The wedding is on Gotland, an island in the Baltic Sea. You can get to Gotland either by plane or by ferry. There is lots of good information about traveling to Gotland at destinationgotland.se/en 

GETTING TO SWEDEN
You'll be arriving at Arlanda airport (ARN) or Nyköping (NYO). We recommend Arlanda if possible, Nyköping is quite far from Stockholm.

CONNECTING FLIGHTS FROM ARN
Connecting flights to Visby fly from Arlanda with SAS / BRA airlines. You'll need to switch terminals. All terminals are connected buildings but there is some walking involved.

FERRY FROM NYNÄSHAMN
- Ferries leave several times a day from Nynäshamn using Destination Gotland. Crossing takes about 3½ hours.
- Book a seat, even if it costs extra. A ticket with no seat reservation means you need to hunt for a seat at the restaurant, which gets crowded.

You can bring a rental car on board if you've booked a car ticket. You can also book the "transfer bus" to take you from Stockholm Central to the Ferry Terminal. You can also get to Nynäshamn Ferry terminal via Commuter Train (Pendeltåg) from Stockholm Central.

Once you get off the ferry in Visby, you will only be a short walk (500m) away from the city center with all the shops, restaurants and hotels. The wedding venue is approximately 5 km south of central Visby.

Getting around Gotland

Sonia has created a map with her favorite spots including shops, cafés, restaurants, beaches and the best parking spaces around Visby. You can find the map below (however all the information is in Swedish)

Dress code

The most important thing for us is that you feel beautiful. Put on something that feels festive and summery! As it will be August, it can be hot during the day, but keep in mind that it will get colder in the evening. The wedding ceremony will take place on a lawn. We therefore recommend shoes that are suitable for socializing in nature and possibly a pair of party shoes to change into if you want. 

Accommodation

We recommend that you book accommodation and transportation to Gotland well in advance, as there is high pressure on Gotland during the summer.

To make it easier for our guests, we have created a guide with recommendations. We have also negotiated discount offers with a number of hotels. See the accommodation guide by clicking the download link below. We will be staying at Donners hotell.

There are also lots of different accommodation options in Visby via e.g. Airbnb and similar rental sites.

Program

We're in full planning mode and will update this section with the day's schedule and more information. Please note that all times are preliminary. In case of rain, outdoor events will be moved into the barn.

14:00 Welcome Reception

We welcome all guests to Nygårds herrgård. Light snacks and sparkling wine will be served in the garden while everyone makes their way to the venue.

15:00 Wedding Ceremony

Feel free to bring your glasses to the ceremony, which will take place in the garden next to the reception area. There will be a limited number of seats available, and we kindly ask that these be reserved for those who truly need them. Everyone else is welcome to stand behind the seating area. After the ceremony, there will be family photos and continued mingling.

16:30 Dinner

Time to enjoy a barbecue buffet inside the barn. Check the board at the entrance to find your assigned table. During dinner, there will be speeches and other fun activities, so stay nearby so you don't miss out! All drinks provided on the tables during dinner, as well as all non-alcoholic beverages, are on us. If you'd like additional alcoholic drinks, they can be purchased at the bar at a low cost via Swish (only Swedish bank accounts) or Paypal. We highly recommend trying Fredrik's home-brewed wedding beer!

20:00 Cake and Cookies

After dinner, wedding cake, cookies, and coffee will be served downstairs. You're welcome to sit there or in the garden while the upstairs area is transformed into a dance floor.

21:00 Dancing!

The dance floor opens for everyone who wants to dance. Check out our dance video to learn the Armenian dance—it's going to be so much fun!

Lili's Argentinian empanadas will be served to keep the energy up a bit longer!

After 12 hours of celebration, it's time to say thank you and goodnight!

Open house at our place Sunday Evening

On Sunday evening, we're looking forward to welcoming anyone who's still around to a relaxed open house at our place, starting from 7:00 PM and onward. It's a chance to hang out, chat, and wind down together in a more informal setting.To help us prepare, please let us know if you're coming via the new RSVP form!

We'll serve pizza, chips, and whatever drinks are left over from the wedding — but if you want to be sure there's something you like, feel free to bring your own. Since we'll be spending time in the garden, bring something warm to wear for when the evening cools down. If it rains, we'll squeeze inside the house — there's always room where there's heart.

Our address is Ullgarnsvägen 1, about 4.5 km from central Visby. It's roughly 7 minutes by car, 12 minutes by bike and 1 hour on foot. Unfortunately, the buses stop running early in the evening. We don't have a dedicated guest parking area, but here are a few tips:

• Our driveway fits 6–7 cars.

• There's a small football field behind our house where you can park.

• You can also park along the street in the neighborhood (Ullgarnsvägen, Sticksömsvägen, or nearby streets) — just make sure not to block the road.

Other nearby parking options:

• Attendo elderly home driveway (450 m from us):
  Enter via the signposted entrance that says  "Äldreboende". There's a gravel area on the right where people often park. There's also a visitor parking area on the left — but please leave those spaces free if it already looks busy, to give priority to Attendo's visitors.

• Sjudarevägen (400 m from us):
  There are a few visitor spaces directly to the right as you turn in, and a few more a bit further down the road.
